    1. Political sketch writing is a weird fig. The media has copped so much criticism lately for focusing on petty shit, and helping to turn pollies into performing monkeys. But sketch writing, which Crabb informed me is actually the original form of parliamentary coverage, is as petty as it gets. And yet, when it's this good, it really is some next level shit. Tony 'People Skills' Abbott: holy lols.

    2. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. Annabel Crabb is very insightful and very funny. I was struck by the fact that her sketches/observations were in the present, not in hindsight. It made me realise, without the benefit of reading her sketches on a regular basis, that it took me years to figure out through the mainstream media's reporting what she knew in real time. She is sharp and intelligent and we'll worth reading.
