    3. Decoration Day in the Mountains: Traditions of Cemetery Decoration in the Southern Appalachians by Alan Jabbour & Karen Singer Jabbour (UNC Press 2010) (393.90975). This is an interesting book on Southern traditions. The area under investigation is concerned entirely with Western North Carolina towns and graves. My rating: 6/10, finished 11/1/2010.

    4. I am loving picking up this table book and slowly reading it. This book is very much about the culture of the area beyond the art and history of decoration days. To anyone who wants to learn and understand us; mountain folk; this is a good book to begin with.
