    1. The New Earl of Mooreland John Forthryte hasn't had an easy life. From an early age he's fought for survival. The bastard son of a Duke he's no stranger to pain, his mother thrown out heavy with child by the cruel man who just happened to share blood with him, the humiliation and poverty that he endured and finally the loneliness and despair as a small child he made a vow to himself to extract vengeance. Vengeance has been given and through his machinations lives have been irrevocably ruined. Na [...]

    2. Writing Style?Didn't particulalry like that the chapters didn't flow into each other. They were quite short and the endings are so abrupt. But there were hardly any mistakes.Characters?Liked them.I mean, yeah our heroine is pretty naive and she doesn't change that much. She is trying, yeah, but not very successfully And our hero? He redeems himself in a way, I guess.Plot?I didn't like the scene in which the hero stepped in and offered her his hand while she was dancing with someone else. I mean, [...]

    4. Where do I start with this review? When you love a book beyond description it can be difficult to put into words just how wonderful it is, but I will do my best. In this Regency tale, you will encounter characters that are so beautifully flawed that you yearn for them to find the happiness and future that they so richly deserve. Both Meredith and John are truly strong characters having suffered greatly in this world of high society rules and hypocrisies. John understands the darkness that reside [...]

    5. This books starts out with events that had occurred but weren't explained - perhaps they happened in previous books in this series. Despite this, the story quickly picked up and the characters were well written and interesting. Meredith is ruined but even though her ruination is a secret, she is sent to live in Scotland. John, is the bastard son of a cruel Duke who had previously set out to get revenge on his half-brothers but is now reconciled with the family. The current Duke, has managed to g [...]

    6. Live and Let Rogue by Eva DevonMust Love Rogues Series Book FourJohn Forthryte lived his life for vengeance. The one person he loved in life had been mistreated and discarded—his mother. He had many years to grow full of bitterness, anger, and hatred toward the aristocrats who caused her pain. That was before, now he's made peace with his half-brothers and accepted the title of earl. And a chance to fix one of his past mistakes.Meredith Trent had made some poor decisions and was now suffering [...]

    7. The meaning of life is the definition of loveThe story begins several books back. However, there are enough bits of back story, a person can read it alone. ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE A DECENT background in Shakespeare's volumes. For it is based on a single, wonderful premise: what if John the Bastard, after wrecks ng the wedding, had an attack of guilt? And what if the duke felt John should be, first, helped to feel better, and second, make amends for his meddling? Adding to the general cast, the aut [...]

    8. This is the 4th book in the must love rouge series. I had not read the first 3 but this could stand alone really enjoyed this story of John Forthyte. Half brother of the Duke of Huntsdown and his two other brothers. Born on the wrong side of the blanket he was very angry at how he had grown up but was trying to get along with his new family. Meredith Trent was one of his casualties in his past schemes to hurt his half brothers and had been exiled to Scotland to live with her uncle, the victor of [...]

    9. Ms. Devon has brought us back for a visit with the Duke of Huntsdown and his brothers and family. Huntsdown is out to fix the wrong that was done to Emmaline and her cousin Meredith Trent. What better way to fix your mistakes then to hand your illegitimate brother the title of Earl of Moreland and send him to Scotland. John Forsyte isn't pleased with the title or mission of bringing Meredith back to London.Meredith has been living with her uncle since the scandal that sent her into hiding. She i [...]

    10. Passion in it's purest, comes in various forms - vengeance, desire, drive, sacrifice, lust, love, all these and more are the embodiment of the hero, John Forthryte, the illegitimate son of a duke. The new Earl of Mooreland, deemed himself unworthy of the beautiful and spirited Meredith Trent. John and Merry have a troubled, intertwined past. They both decide to put everything to rights by putting a distance to each other. Alas, fate has a way of reuniting them. They are both each other's weaknes [...]

    11. This addition to the series was really quite good and in it John receives his comeuppance. I suggest reading the others first, but if not, there is enough of the back story to understand John. He has struggled with his lot in life as the by-blow with aristocratic half-brothers. What he did not think would ever happen is that he would begin to actually like them once he became part of their lives. He has done a lot in the previous books to ensure that his brothers found happiness, even though he d [...]

    12. Loved it!This is book four in the Must Love Rogue Series, and it's the story of John and Meredith. John , a character in several of the previous stand alone books in this series, has been a real bastard, literally well as figuratively. He is sent by his brother, the Duke, to Scotland to retrieve Meredith to bring her back to London for a season. All this to right a wrong John caused a year earlier. The story is filled wuth romance, drama, longing, regret-so many emotions. This is a wonderful ser [...]

    13. I think I was at a slight disadvantage because I had not read any of the previous books. It left me with questions around some underlying tension and family drama that was illuminated throughout the book and it fell a little flat. That being said I really loved John- I always love a damaged rogue. I enjoyed that Merry embraced who she was and knew what she wanted. **sigh** I need to check out the books before this in the series.

    14. I read this as a stand alone. Don't do that. I had read book 1 & apparently never 2,3. I was completely thrown off. Something, which is explained by the author happened to the h and was all Johns fault. I need to go back and read those books because I really have no idea why she'd want anything to do with him. So fair warning, imo, read the series in order. I'll come back to this book again.

    15. A Merry Chase!I loved everything about John and Merry's story. John is so hurt and in pain behind his bluster. Merry just needs to be loved. No spoiler here, but this is a wonderful read. Now I'm waiting for Clyde and Andromeda 's stories.

    16. Only my opinionGood story, written with an understanding of people and how do many do not understand themselves, trying to follow the herd. Not everyone can live by the same rules. Good writing. I like very thing you've written.
