    1. Deirdre Cash has returned to her hometown of Marietta, MT when her modeling career isn't going the way she had always dreamed it would. DeeDee knows that she needs to find some kind of work in Marietta and when Isaac Litton's younger brother Mark who has down syndrome takes a liking to DeeDee he offers to hire her to help care for Mark since he is always busy with work. DeeDee who doesn't really have any experience working with handicap still does a marvelous job with Mark with her efforts showi [...]

    3. I’m loving this whole series and this is another superb read. . . mind you, I’ve enjoyed by far the majority of the stories and series based in Marietta, Montana and published by Montana Born/Tule Publishing. It is a great read in its own right but I thoroughly enjoyed reconnecting with so many of the now familiar people and places who appear in these stories, regardless of who the author is. Having said that, I don’t think you need to have read any of the earlier books to still appreciate [...]

Because this book was that for me!!The perfect mixture of short, sweet, cute, romance, chocolate love, diverse characters that are NOT treated as if it's the worst thing to be different, beautifully cute characters and great writing!I loved DeeDee and what she overcame but at the same time s [...]

Review written: April 3, 2017Star Rating: ★★★☆☆Heat Rating: ☀☼☼☼☼An Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) of this book was received free via Netgalley for an honest review. This series seems to be a good vehicle for closing out family stories within the context of a new series. This time it is Snopek's Cash family (see also The Chocolate Cure). DeeDee is the last of the Cash sisters without a man, and she also happens to be without a job. Like others in this series, she returns to Mariet [...]

    7. Once again Roxanne Snopek has written an engaging, uplifting romance that is perfect for a lazy afternoon when you just want to unwind with a warm cup of tea and a book in hand. What I loved most about this book was that it tackled such a heavy topic - developmental disabilities - and didn't sugarcoat the reality of it. We saw both angles, that of the family member and that of an outsider with zero experience joining that family. While her first book in this series remains my favorite, I think t [...]

    8. This book was such a delight to read. Not just because of the way DeeDee softens and changes throughout it, or the way Isaac slowly changes his view of many things, but because of Mark. He’s such a great, positive representation of Down’s syndrome and, to be honest, his relationship with DeeDee was even more enjoyable to read than the romance between her and Isaac.DeeDee might not have any experience in much of anything – outside of serving coffee and modelling – but the way she connecte [...]

    9. Coming home again while it may have the element of bitter as in bittersweet, it can still be so satisfying like a rich piece of dark chocolate on the tongue. Such is the lesson DeeDee Cash learns in The Chocolate Comeback by Roxanne Snopek. This coming home story has characters who aren’t perfect but still admirable, a cause to support, with family sticking together during the hard times and a slow building romance to boot. Humorous at time, then turning serious on a dime, made this an unpredi [...]

    10. One thing I liked about The Chocolate Comeback is the main female character. She isn’t perfect, she wasn’t a nice person growing up, she was the shallow, pretty girl, with few if any friends. She returns home to Marietta as an unsuccessful ex-model who finds herself having to eat crow with some of the people of her hometown who she had written off. Isaac, the lead male, new to Marietta, finds himself in need of a aid for his brother Mark, who has down syndrome. He’s not sold on DeeDee at f [...]

    11. Each story in this series is centered around Marietta, Montana and yet written by different authors, all carrying the same theme, centered around the Copper Mountain Chocolate Shop, they are heartwarming and touching. This story is no different. I believe I enjoyed this story the most so far, centering around returning home and second chances, the characters exhibited genuinely caring, loving natures toward their own residents and were welcoming to its newest members. The author wrote a complex [...]

May up it to a 4 when the entire series is done so I can decide it in retrospect"; well, it turns out I feel really bad for even just thinking about putting a 3 for it, consider I do surprisingly like this book a lot more than its predecessors. So yeah, a 4 it is.I have to really praise Snopek on how she incorporated buttloads of characters that have appeared so far in the series. Before, I at most see authors usi [...]

    14. Deirdre Cash is returning home hoping no one notices she is broke and desperate for a job. When Deirdre becomes a care side for Mark, Issac brother, suddenly his world is turned upside down. Ms. Snopek has another Chocolate filled hit. I love the way she combines chocolate with exercise, a fashion show spotlighting everyone in the community and a life altering moment when Deirdre realizes all her dreams are in Marietta, Montana not New Year City. Highly recommend!

    17. Reviewed at Keeper BookshelfThe Chocolate Comeback is another thoughtful, realistically believable story from an author that I’ve come to expect such emotional tales from. Without climbing onto my own soapbox, my son is physically challenged – the mind of a genius in a body what simply won’t work – so over the years we’ve come in constant contact with other people from that widely diverse “disabled community”, and in fact he now works with others helping them use adaptive computer [...]

Did she want to return to New York and resurrect her modeling career or stay in Marietta with her family, Isaac, and Mark? In addition, Ms. Snopek did an excellent job handling Mark Litton with his Down’s syndrome and his relationship with [...]

It amazed me how well Roxanne was able to catch the typical stereotyping and show it isn't all it is suppose to be be, and demonstrate the persons true colors. I also enjoyed the previous relations that showed up in this story.
