    1. ***Received from Tasty Book Tours for an honest review***Holy crap, what a story!Memories combined with present day events really put the turbulence between Rome and Kat in perspective. Oh, I knew they didn't part on good terms and knew coming back together for any reason wasn't going to be without its hiccups. But there was that thin underlying layer of attraction and, maybe, love between them that had me hoping they'd work out their issues and move toward a future together.Going from distrust [...]

    2. "The Fall of Rome" is a hilarious conclusion to the trilogy Ciotta slung into our consciousness with "Romancing the West" in 2006, then followed up with "Lasso the Moon" in 2007. Reading Ciotta's fast-moving books with fast-draw, fast romancing characters on all sides of the law has been rather like getting caught in a stampede. Too bad it's over. But if it has to be over, the shenanigans that begin in Gila Gulch, Arizona Territory (1878) wonderfully tie together a passel of characters and plot [...]

    3. Rome Garrett and Kat Simmons fell in lust under the faro table 6 years ago. Their passion was hot, but through an error of judgment on Kat's part and a rage of jealousy on Rome's part, they went their separate ways. Rome was a Wells Fargo man, working to right the wrongs of the West, and became a dime novel romance hero. Kat needed to make some life changes, quit her gambling and drinking ways, lost the face paint and fancy dresses and settled into the life of a rather mild-mannered salon owner. [...]

    4. Oh my goodness, I LOVED this story! I loved the romancebut I won't give up any spoilers here about whose romance. I loved the story line involving a little girl named Frankie. Who is she? The main criminal, Bulls Eye Brady, is a mean guy that you have no problem wanting all sorts of bad things to happen to! There is so much going on in this story that takes you on an emotional roller coaster, but hang on because it is so worth the ride! I love the characters in this series and am excited knowing [...]

    5. After reading the the first two books in this series, I was hooked. The third book, Fall of Rome, ups the ante (pun intended). This book has all of the flawed-but-likable characters I have come to expect from Ms. Ciotta's books, but she really ups the "bad guy quotient" in this one. The story is twisty, fun, and passionate, but it has an even greater sense of suspense because of the extra-evil wrong-doers, and the innocent people who are in their way. Fun, fun read, highly recommend the series!

    6. I almost didn't read this book. As a matter of fact I put it down after starting it and read a couple of others before coming back to it. Once the book started rolling along, I couldn't put it down. I'd have to say this is the best book of the series. I'm a little confused since Boston is still hanging out there without a wife Maybe I've missed a book along the way.
