    1. Sharon Ann Martin (43, nee Johnson) got a call from Officer Leland (SC state police). Mt. Pleasant, SC. Robert Martin, Karen Martin, & Earline Johnson (Sharon’s mom) had been murdered. Bobby Martin was in the hospital in serious condition. Helen Gamble (nursing supervisor) greeted Sharon. Dr. Paul Thomas (pediatric surgeon) was doing his best with Bobby. Bobby was in ICU in a coma. The Martin’s car had been hit by a semi-truck.Later, the funerals/burials were held. A miracle had happened [...]

    2. Major tissue warningWhen I read the synopsis I was ready for something that this book was not. I saw that this was written for the general public so may contain things I normally don't read (I generally stick to strictly Christian romance). Ok for warned is a great thing but none of those warning came to be. True to life characters without a doubt and maybe that is why I got so attached to them as I read the story. However what want warned about was the rough emotional rollercoaster the story wa [...]

    3. After The StormI loved this book? While it dealt with heavy subjects such as grieving and both physical and emotional healing, it also had its share of "ups." A scripture in the Psams truly applies, "There may be pain in the night, but joy comes in the morning." This so far is the best book in the Low Country series so far.

    4. I could not put this down. Likable, well developed characters and relationships. As a side note, the author took considerable liberty around meeting organ donor families. The identities are never shared. Both the recipient and donor families must agree for their identities to be shared and there is a process which must occur before that happens.

    5. A wonderful story of how God works in our lives when we mess up, God steps in to redeem us. This is a modern day tragedy story about a car accident that involves two separate families that comes to a happy ending. I could not put the book down, very well written, inspirational, emotional, loving and a warm story.

    6. Heartwarming and inspiringThe novel starts with a disaster, but ends with a beautiful hope. Just like scripture says in Romans 8:28 "all things work together for good to those who love God and are called according to His purpose." Excellent and inspiring read for anyone. I loved it!

    12. While this is a sweet romance, it is so much more. It is a story of sin, repentance, forgiveness, faith, and happily-ever-after. The characters experience a great deal of tragedy but look to God to get them through.

    13. After the Storm by author Yvonne Lehman held my interest and is written well. As I read the story I wondered what would I do if this happened to me? How would I handle the sudden death of my mother, my only son and his wife, my grandson being in critical conditiond the ER surgeon has the same familial features as my son and the same rare blood type? SO now you have to be hooked! It is a very good book. It is an inspirational Christian story about how wrong choices have a way of coming full circl [...]

    15. I really enjoyed this touching book. Sharon Martin's life is turned u[side down by a phone call no one should have to receive. A car wreck took almost everything from her. The only survivor is her grandson Bobby and his life hangs in the balance. There is also a secret in Sharon's past that has a direct connection to the present. The author does a great job telling an emotional story of life, loss and love. I found this author to have a wonderfully inviting writing style and a way of telling a g [...]

    16. After the Storm was a really good read. It dealt with a tough subject, a woman losing her mother, son, and daughter-in-law in a tragic accident with the life of her young grandson hanging on by a thread. At times it was a little silly, but overall it was very enjoyable.

    17. This was a really good short story! It was a tad cheesy, but in a good way. I teared up a few times, which was bad because I read this at work! Can't wait to finish the other stories by her :)
