    1. Most of the Saddle Club books are alike, (our trio of heroines extricate themselves from not-really-so-much-trouble) but this one stands out more than the others. A movie star is involved.(Sadly, not David Bowie, but anyway)The descriptions of how repetitive filming scenes for movies were spot-on. The horse bits were suitably horsey. Yes, this is still a silly kids' book, but it's good for a laugh and a quick, relaxing read, no matter what your age.

    2. In the nineteenth book in the Saddle Club series, Star Rider focuses on an exciting event at Pine Hollow. Teen heartthrob Skye Ransom is shooting a new movie and they need a horsey set. What better place than the Pine Hollow stables and surrounds?More at equus-blog/star-rider-sadd
