    1. Little Wing is an adorable character and while learning to fly can also have lots of other independent but safe connotations to Littles as they grow as well as entertain. My children loved being introduced to Little Wing. We would love it if this is the first of many Little Wing books as it is a character we would follow. Review book, honest opinion.

    4. This adorable picture book presents young listeners and readers with examples of persistence, patience, bravery, and honesty. Jennifer A. Bell's colorful, whimsical illustrations pair well with Calista Brill's simple, yet strong story of a young dragon who learns to fly, but forgets to listen to the rules of flying and gets separated from his mother. I highly recommend this title for both school and public libraries.

    5. This book is absolutely gorgeous. The illustrations are just so lovely. This book tells a story of a little dragon gaining independence and learning to fly. With this new sense of independence, he also learns that he cannot do things entirely on his own, and will need help from time to time. This book is perfect for both children and teachers. This book is delightfully entertaining and still teaches a lesson. I love how Little Wing never gives up and is peresistant to reach his goal.

    11. We read this book to my baby every weeknight at bedtime. It's a great story about a dragon learning to fly and being so excited the he bites off a little more than he can chew. There's a great dynamic between Little Wing and his mama, and you can really feel the drama as Little Wing is put through his paces (actually, flaps). 15. A little dragon learns to fly, ventures too far, but in the end is safe back with his mama. This is sweet without saccharine, though the illustrations edge on the twee. There are fewer dragon books out there for kids than you'd think, so this is a nice addition to the picture book shelf.
