    1. I think what I like most about this story is the spectrum of sexuality that it encompasses. Gay, transsexual and pansexual, all handled with acceptance and compassion. Anyone reading this, young adult especially, can appreciate the message this story contains. This is a cute little story about college roommates Seth and Alè's first Christmas together. It's a story about how they first began to date and the future they are looking forward to. There is a wonderful sense of family and community, th [...]

    2. "I’m part of a clan of ancient druids who have to sing the Otherworld into this one four times a year or the fabric of reality will unravel isn’t really a great conversation opener with someone you are starting to fall in love with."For reals.I was pleasantly surprised with this magic-tinged holiday story. Definitely not like a lot of the holiday stories out there, this would appeal most to YA/NA MM lovers who don't mind a bit of fantasy.Story is cute, sweet, fated established couple and not [...]

    3. I ws fantastically intrigued by this story's premise. I've loved Celtic mythology for years, and was excited to see a holiday story about modern-day druids.I'm afraid my expectations were a little too high.Because while we did get some druidy-ness, most of the story was modern. I'd been expecting more mythology and less gifting of Supernatural-inspired Christmas gifts.Still fun, just not what I'd expected.Favorite Quote:"Sit and tell it to me like I have no clue what you're talking about 'cause [...]

    4. Part of the anthology Boughs of Evergreen: A Holiday Anthology Combined Edition Supporting young LGBT people's mental health needs through The Trevor Project.Short story of Seth and Ale two college room mates. However, Seth, has a somewhat supernatural role to play through he and his Celtic families and villages role to protect the universe. I found this somewhat 'unusual' to say the least. Some traditions mentioned from paganism and references to Celtic religion the USA. The Celts and Celtic re [...]

    5. Well, maybe this short story is a bit too short? It seems to be mainly about 'meeting the parents', with a few pan- and transsexual issues thrown in for balance.I rather liked the promising storyline about Celtic druids, but unfortunately that just petered out to nothing. There are a few sweet moments, but on the whole I thought it was just over too soon.

    7. A sweet holiday story about an established couple. The brief glimpse we got of Seth's culture was interesting.

    8. Re-read 12/17/16: still an adorable story a little off the beaten Christmas path! Like the I traction between Ale and Seth's family --very sweet!original review: Short and (very) sweet!

    9. 3 StarsA little bit adorable, but I wanted more to the story about Seth being a Druid. That part was all so superficial; in all honesty that angle could have been dropped and it wouldn't have affected the story at all. Could have been any fantasy/paranormal aspect.

    10. VERY raw notes, may contain spoilers but probably nothing major. It's unrealistic for a child not to miss even her abusive parents at all. It's a fundamental drive to get our parents approval. I wanted to have the ritual on page. Calling himself Pansexual is very generation appropriate. Really really sweet story. The only negative thing I noticed was the foster care thing and being a foster parent for the last 17 years makes me a little pickier than most people. I loved that the little girl was t [...]
