    2. What a delightful surprise "That Wild Texas Swing" was. I expected a light, easy, chicklit type of romance. It was anything but with deep emotions that tugged at your heartstrings. The story was less about Liz taking Killian on a 'wild ride' than about her coming to terms with her past and reputation as they navigated their romance amidst the town's disapproval. With all of the wonderful build up surrounding Liz and Killian's romance, I felt the conclusion was a bit abrupt but, regardless, would [...]

    3. I liked the first book in Lost in a Boom Town series, so I eagerly picked up That Wild Texas Swing. In the beginning, Liz Salazar, with her wild reputation, was a bit unusual for a romance heroine, but her emotional journey throughout the book had surprising depth. It's difficult to have a romance with an attractive mayor Killian Dawson amid the disapproval of town people, but it's even more difficult to come to terms with what made you the way you are. As always in Ms. Fredrick's books, the cha [...]

    5. I liked the first book in this series, but it didn't grab me the way THAT WILD TEXAS SWING did. The unlikely romance between Liz, the town bad girl, and Killian, the mayor laid a solid foundation for conflict, and MJ worked through the resolution very well. She used some fascinating subtlety as well during the annual unpleasant dinner with the step-siblings when the nephew indicated to Killian that UT was his top choice for college. In an A&M family, this is sacrilege. Non-Texas readers may [...]

    7. Delicious storySuch a fun read!! Bad girl Liz and the good guy Killiuan, the mayor, start seeing each other, much to the dismay of their small town. This book is breezy and romantic, with a few surprising twists. I love how book 2 has the same characters as the first book, although they're minor characters now, but it still catches you up from where book one ended. I'm hooked on this series and can't wait to read the next book!!

    9. Liz is a bad girl gone good, but it seems no one wants to let go of her past. Killian is a man who can see past her past & love her for who she is. What a great lead, you have to love a man who love for who you are not who he wants you to be. 5 well earned stars.

    10. Good readI loved this book. She was the proverbial "bad" girl and he was the town's shining star. And everyone in a small town feel as if they have a right to have a say in his love life. Will he convince her that she is good enough for him? Read to see. Highly recommend.
