    1. This novella features Amy's Hamilton's story in the Artifact Hunters series. It's a relatively quick, easy and enjoyable read. I read the first book in the series and loved the steampunk world but this novella isn't as heavily "steampunk" flavoured.Amy was a bit too "goody, goody" to be really enjoyable as a leading lady and I didn't really feel the chemistry, spark between Jackson and and Amy. Well written as far as a novella goes but after reading the first book in the series I was expecting a [...]

    2. Cute enough. I was wondering what happened to Amy and her d-bag fiance. Did NOT expect this and still wishing Loki would get his own story but this was a nice standalone and well done for its short length.

    3. A fun short steampunk-ish romp through Cara and Nate's world. Jackson has finally found someone in Amy and I couldn't be happier. a nice filler inbetween books in this series. Read up took 3 first.

    4. A novella between books 2 & 3 of this series, it focuses on Cara's friend Amy & her struggles for independence after being shunned by the ton. Little bit of steampunk, little bit of violence, little bit of whimsy, and a fair chunk of soft porn.

    5. This was a nice story about, Cara's, friend, Amy. I did wonder what became of her after the first few books. I'm glad she's finally found herself for who she truly is and found someone that accepts her for that. Nice story to add to the overall series!

    6. There was an overuse of the endearment princess and the metaphor of rescuing said princess, but otherwise fun short tale.

    7. Was fun to learn more of the others, poor Loki

    8. A bit on the sexy side, but goodThis book was not what I thought / it would be like; it was much better. I liked all of the characters, especially Jack even if he got pretty crude in some of his sentences (to himself). The book's ending was both expected and different at the same time. It is a very good introduction to a new series.

    10. Cute story. Completely anachronistic, but still fun.

    11. InterestingI am so glad the author took the time to expand on some of the lesser characters. Now that we know more about Amy and Jackson, I am ready to read the next part of the adventure.

    12. The Unicorn’s Tail takes place between Hatshepsut’s Collar and the upcoming book Nero’s Fiddle and focuses on Cara’s best friend Amy Hamilton. We do get to see her a few times in the previous books and we know that she was in a rather unfortunate situation with her fiancee, so needless to say I was really curious to see what became of her. This novella is not quite as solid as Exley’s previous books but it’s still quite good and I’m so really to dig into Nero’s Fiddle.Amy had a d [...]

    13. *Book source ~ Purchased from When Amy Hamilton ditches her scumbag fiancé, the London ton shuns her. Her! The good girl who has always done everything ever expected of a woman in the late 19th century. Humiliated and alone, she asks her best friend Cara to let her stay with her and her husband at their country estate. At least there she can be useful since the place is dreadful and in need of a complete overhaul. Once there though, the attention of two men confuse her. What could these men wan [...]

    14. This novella links to A W Exley's awesome Artifact Hunter's Series. It focuses on a minor character from the books, Amy. I liked Amy in the brief time we saw her in Nefertiti's Heart. I liked that she was a more typical Victorian girl, but nevertheless she wasn't going to to abandon her friend no matter what society or her fiancee had to say. In the Unicorn's Tail, Amy seeks refuge at Cara's estate after being shunned by society for leaving her abusive fiancee. In the beginning of the novella, I [...]

    15. This one started out a little slow for me. Glad to see Amy finally ditch that horrid fiance. I guess what I found so odd about this story was the lack of Cara and Nate in it. I know it's not their story but it seemed so strange to invite Amy out to Nate's ancestral home and then leave her alone to redecorate it for them. I would have liked to see Nate and Amy interact. From previous stories she thought he was cold and a criminal. It would have been interesting to see what she thinks of him now t [...]

    16. Once again, A.W. Exley has kept me thoroughly enthralled, and now yet again hanging out for more, with the endearing, romantic yet sexy tale of the rough and edgy Jackson and high society girl, Amy. I was pleasantly surprised to realise I didn't miss Cara and Nate like I expected to, as Jack and Amy brought their own sweet yet raw version of the old cat and mouse game of finding love. Another exceptionally well executed, intelligent and cheeky storyline you must read!Merged review:Once again, A. [...]

    17. She is such a little mouse who did all that she was told. Life was not all sweetness and light thou. She makes a wish, to be loved for her true self, never realising the consequences that the unicorn bracelet will add to her life. She has a few adventures and finds exactly what she wished for.

    18. I enjoyed this book; it was a fun quick read. I liked seeing this side of Jackson; whose soft nature and quick mind are usually hidden by his gruff and ruthless exterior. It was also nice to see Amy again; she is a well written character with many facets that showed quite a bit of growth in the confines of a novella. Additionally, I liked how the book showed Nate in Cara only as background characters. This gave the reader a chance to really see the supporting characters of the full length novels [...]

    19. Delightful addition to A. W. Exley's Artifact Hunters series featuring Cara's friend, Amy Hamilton who has been enduring social ostracism for the crime of being a loyal friend. In this novella, we learn more about Jackson, one of the men who guard Nate and Cara. He has a rough exterior with a kind heart beneath it. That rascal of a pirate, Loki, talks Jackson into taking a bet with him as to who can win a kiss from Amy first and the fun begins.Amy learns more about the person she wants to be and [...]

    20. It's a charming little visit to this world. It's a romance with a little bit of magic and steampunk, which is something I'd like to see more of. However, the writing style is still a bit immature (it reads like a fanfiction, not a book), with somewhat flat characters, and the story itself is a bit predictable. If it was targeted at a younger audience, I think maybe it might fly a little better, but there are some parts that are borderline explicit and not suitable for younger readers. Overall, I [...]

    21. AwfulThis book sounded interesting, so I picked it up. It was a mistake. One dimensional characters, tired, cliche backstories, and no real substance to speak of. It feels as if the plot would be interesting, despite the dull love triangle, but fell very short of the mark. I couldn't get through it all the way, and I hate leaving books unfinished.

    22. Even though this wasn't about my new favorite literary couple Cara and Nate, I loved getting to learn more about Amy, Cara's best friend. I can't say too much without spoiling, but this is a really sweet story with just at taste of the action that's in this series. Now I'm really itching to hear more about Amy's point of view.

    23. Meh. 2.5 stars. It wasn't about the MCs though they were in in a bit, so I didn't like that. This series is all about the romance which I just don't find as enjoyable as it all could be. This one was predictable, would have liked it much better if he'd told her the truth as soon as he kissed her. Idiot, but of course then there wouldn't be the dramatic ending. Just not my thing really.

    24. I skipped the second book in this series, and hit this one. It was too sickeningly sweet for me. There was no place the "I've never had a chance to find out who I am" Amy (the society puppet her whole life) got to be a "hear me roar woman." There was too much "I will protect" smothering talk from the guy/s (when it wasn't a crude joke involving her private parts).

    25. This novella wasn't of the same quality as the full length novels in this series. The story seemed choppy in parts and there was too much explaining, rather than showing. The plot was a bit light as well. I do enjoy this author's world and I'll probably read the next book in the series.

    26. Nice addition to the seriesIt was a fast read but way too short. Maybe too much sex and not enough action. It would have been nicer to see more of the character of Jackson develop.

    27. This was a great little novella in the Artifact Hunters series, tucked between Book 2 and the eagerly awaited Book 3 due out--finally!--in October. I've always liked Jackson so it was really cool that the big guy got his own story.

    29. Short story which gives more background on Jackson, Nate's second in command. He's the strong silent type, but a man with a past. A new character is introduced with Amy a friend of Cara's in need of help.
