    2. Portia's preschool is working its way through a lot of different artists and Portia decided Degas was her favorite. This book had been in our bookshelf for years and we didn't realize it was about Degas until after Portia took such an interest in Degas, ballerinas, and cats. The illustrations are reminiscent of Degas and very pretty. I like the history at the end; however, I still can't find the cat paws in Degas' actual painting at the end. Where are they?

    3. Beautiful Degas style pictures. Three kittens visit the ballet while Degas sketches. The stage manager wants to throw them out but Degas insists they stay. When the cats come out on stage during the performance the manager wants them thrown into the street. That is until he learns that his ticket sells have increased becasue people want to come and see the dancing kittens.
