    1. Supernatural hijinks on Key West, with lots of shared characters and content to keep that sense of comfortable familiarity going. Lots of references to music, and some to literature, too. More would not be a bad thing.

    2. This is the complete review as it appears at my blog dedicated to reading, writing (no 'rithmatic!), movies, & TV. Blog reviews often contain links which are not reproduced here, nor will updates or modifications to the blog review be replicated here.I rated this novel WARTY!I both started and finished this one today, and when I say I finished it, I didn't finish it. I read the very first chapter and decided that this was so uninventive and pedestrian that I had zero interest in reading any [...]

    3. Cassie Zukav is a weirdness magnet. After graduating from college and driving across the country, she found herself in Key West, FL, where a planned two-week stay has turned into a new life for herself. A life that includes dragons, nixies, nymphs, Norse gods, and a really kick-ass band. Ragnarok and Roll collects all the Cassie Zukav stories to date (three previously published, six new) plus her not-quite-in-continuity first appearance from 1997. The writing is light and breezy, with the true s [...]

    4. This was a reasonably entertaining read. Despite reading the acknowledgements, I can't figure out why it would have seemed like a better idea to write a collection of short stories rather than a novel about these characters. If I understand correctly, only a few of these stories appeared by themselves in other anthologies, so the repetition of expository details that's required to make these stories able to stand alone doesn't exactly make sense for the stories that have only appeared in this vo [...]

    5. Collection of short stories all dealing with the same person, Cassie Zukav, who calls herself "a weirdness magnet."Each of the stories, except for the last 3--which are interconnected, all deal with different weirdness. In the first story in the book, Cassie is up against Loki Himself. She's aided by Odin and Loki's ex-wife in this battle. This is also the story where she finds out why she's such a weirdness magnet.I enjoyed the stories, and am hoping that Keith gives us more tales of Cassie.

    6. These are light fantasy/humor about Cassie Zukav, a scuba instructor in Florida, who finds out she is a Norse goddess of fate and has encounters with Odin, Loki, and Thor, who is more than a bit of a lout and wants to go to Hollywood to have a few words with the actor of the Thor films. These stories are fun, amusing diversions.

    7. Cassie Zukav, totally cool chick, scuba instructor, band groupie, and possibly a Norse goddess? These stories are light, fun reading about Cassie and all the weirdness she's a magnet for. They're heavy on character development, atmosphere, and mythology. I love them.
