I read this book aloud to my girl years back, and for months afterward we would both horse around and try to talk like Keith Talent. It is a wonderfully inventive post-modern crime story, with a broad and vivid cast of London life, that sadly rings a little too true. I'm not a big Amis fan, but I loved London Fields.
