    1. Black & Blue ReviewI was asked to read and review this book, and received a copy in exchange for my honest review. I didn’t read a synopsis beforehand, and didn’t know what to expect. The title gives nothing away. That being said, I loved this story. I was left wanting more. It is similar to Romeo & Juliet in a sense. Henry and Jamie are head over heels in love at first sight. Only problem is, they are separated by class. Started by her grandfather, there are two classes - The Blacks [...]

    2. 2.5 stars, but I leaned to 3. *I was given a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.*WARNING: SPOILERSI loved the idea of this book and thought it would be a neat twist on Romeo and Juliet and also the class issues a la The Handmaid's Tale. It was neither. I finished the book 10 hours ago and I've already forgotten the character names, except for William. The dialogue was immature and the insta-love unbelievable. I believe in love at first sight, but not passionate, lif [...]

    3. BLACK AND BLUE, by Khelsey Jackson, the first in a series,is a futuristic tale of Romeo and Juliet, which I hope finishes with a much juicier ending. It definitely starts off with a bang.Jamie and Henry are the star-crossed lovers who try to fight the establishment so they can marry without reproach. The United States has been divided into two groups: The Blacks who are the rich Americans and The Blue, everyone else. Both groups are not to intermingle for fear of immediate death. But the Blues ar [...]

    4. I thought this book was a one of a kind. Being different is a crime. Wearing bracelets of Black and Blue. Lets everyone know the Blue serves the Black. The owners of The No B Club want to change things so everyone will be equal. Trying to plan and plot an attack against the Blacks isn't so easy. Especially when one of the club owners, Henry, runs into a problem. He falls in love with a Black. Not any Black. The daughter of William Moore. William is a Black and holds all the laws between the Blac [...]

    5. I loved this book. It was intriguing, adventurous, and romantic with hint of dangerous.I got so caught up in the story that I was feeling what the characters were feeling.I was desperate for them to be safe and be together. It does end in a cliffhanger that left me crying and begging for more of the story. It is kinda like a futuristic Romeo and Juliet meets the pre~civil war era but not quite. We have a division of classes mark by colors. The rich are the Blacks and the poor are the Blues.Number one [...]

    6. A stunning read from Ms Jackson, who puts a whole new spin on love and politics. It's a read that makes you think about situations which occur in the real world and it's just a little scary that she has the power to do this! That's how good the storytelling is!Who is a Black in this world? The rich and the powerful. Being a Black opens the world up to you, with high powered jobs and such.Who is a Blue in this world? The poor and the struggling. Being a Blue means working your fingers to the bone [...]

    7. Black & Blue by Khelsey JacksonI absolutely loved this book. It wasn’t a long story, at first I thought it was going to be your typical Romeo and Juliet Love tragedy, but I was very wrong. I was captivated from the start and couldn’t put the book down. The ending left me wanting more.Henry Roarke Is a blue, leader of the revolution, everything planned to make life better for the blues that is until one night he meets Jamie Moore the chemistry between them is instant.Jamie Moore Is the da [...]

    8. I was very fortunate to get a copy of this book from the author in exchange for a honest and non-nonsense review.I absolutely loved this story and it pulled me in right away. As a fan of the young adult genre, the YA elements were definitely present from the very beginning and through the entire book with an interesting twist when you least expected it.The author created a very believable backdrop while at the same time keeping the story very unique and fresh. Liked the two classes and how indiv [...]

    9. OMG!!!! What a story!A story of how life would be if we were segregated in to 2 classes poor and rich with the Blues being poor and the Blacks being rich and not being allowed any interaction for fear of torture or worse!!! Blues are never allowed to become better or rich :(Jamie and Henry are excellent character's and in some ways remind me of Romeo and Juliet, I absolutely adored following their story of a love against the odds!!!This book has just about a bit of everything in it.I seriously h [...]

    10. MY REVIEW- At First this story reminded me of Romeo and Juliet but its so much more than that. For Henry and Jamie its love at first sight, but they are separated by class. The Blacks are the rich and the Blues are poor. Unfortunately Jamie is a Black and Henry are Blue which makes their love forbidden. The Blues are unable to move up society. Henry wants to change this for himself and other people in his class so he decides to start a Revolution against Jamie's father. This is a story about fig [...]

    11. This book was like no other I've read!!! The title "Black & Blue" is a perfect title!!! I don't want to be the one to give too much away, but this book is all about what side you are on, the rules involved & what happens if those rules are broken!!! Jamie & Henry are from different sides & fall in love!!! They are determined to do whatever they have to so that they can continue to see each other!!! Will what they do work or will there be consequences for them?? Looks like you hav [...]

    12. Its not often I find a love story that works for me. But this was amazing! The idea of fighting for what you love, in a world where it would be the death of you, and not giving up. This is not just about love and trying to fight for it there also trying to change the world they live in No more Black bracelets or blues just people!! Can not wait for the next book to come out! Its an awesome start to what seems like it will be an Epic series!!

    13. This was a masterpiece that I simple could not put down!! An epic story of a sinister Political figure who found a way to put himself in the White House to implement a plan that he truly believe, in His sadistic mind, was for the greater good of the nation . However the consequences of his twisted beliefs were felt two generations later. Some paid with their lives while other paid a high cost their hearts…

    14. Well can I start with - what a fantastic storyline I couldn't stop reading and your ending - how mean! I loved the futurist ideal of the classes of people very creative. Some of my all time favourite stories have been crazy takes on the future. Some minor editing would help definitely but my five stars are for the great storyline. Thank you for the opportunity to read this beta version.

    17. A dystopian Romeo and Juliette or maybe pre 1960's America. This is a perfect story of love being blind to color or status. I would have given it 5 stars but there were tons of grammatical errors.

    18. Language! This is a novella so it's a quick read. Harriett Blue is a detective in Australia and through circumstances gets paired with another detective that everyone hates and avoids like the plague because of something that happened when he was a boy of about 7 years old. Harriett is a loner too and she tries to give him the benefit of the doubt and she tries to find out what really happened all those years ago since she's heard several different stories. The 2 of them solve the case they are [...]
