    About Arielle Pierce

    1. Arielle Pierce currently resides in both southern Spain and in Wales, ensuring that she doesn t miss the worst of the rains and gales of one country, nor the blazing heat and droughts of the other When not merrily scribbling away about the adventures of two men in love she can be found sewing sock kitty cats for her small son or gardening in her back yard, where she is locked into a losing battle with the weeds and with the sock cats, for that matter She obsesses about gardens and koi fish, is an avid reader of history and hates talking about herself in the third person.

    1. 4 The only ones who bitterly hung on were the boat and Cian himself. And even the boat wasn’t long for this world. Stars. Dylan was beautiful. In all his daydreams and all his longings, Cian couldn’t have dared hoped for such a man.Cian's boat was destroyed in the storm, he and five of his shipmates were clinging onto the remnants. Until one by one they let go and fall into the depths of the ocean. The fey man's call is too strong for them to resist, after all. Dylan sees Cian, he clings to [...]

    2. 3.5*Love the LHNB event. Wonderful stories, wonderful picture prompts and wonderful authors writing theses stories.Cian is not going to fall for the lure of the siren's song, he will not drownI love fairytale like stories and this one definitely had that feel to it, redeeming a man, a creature who long ago thought he was lost to his cold and cruel ways. A young man just wanting love, even knowing it's forbidden. The ending is hopeful but uncertain but all in all this story left me feeling all wil [...]

    3. The photo(view spoiler)[ (hide spoiler)]The storyThis short freebie is about a drowning man that find out some legends can he real. What I adored about this story* There is a merman (or gwenhidwy, . I LOOOOOVE merman stories, so that's certainly was perfect!* There are both POV. The human (Cian) and the merman (Dylan)* It's a little taste of something that can became much larger! It's almost as a prologue and that instigate my imagination! I WANT MORE!5 stars["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]&g [...]

    4. 3.5* rounded up for originality. The story kept me engaged throughout, though some of the writing was a bit repetitive and rough, and the sex scenes took on a decidedly un-Victorian flair. Somewhere towards the end an explanation lacked (view spoiler)[for the rescue of the other sailors and how come they weren't dead (hide spoiler)]. Still, I loved the original twists to this story about mermen and quite enjoyed it and Dylan was an intriguing MC.

    6. On the one hand I now have to admit that I have a merman kink :) and Ms. Pierce got their nature pretty good: cruel and cold like the sea and completely different but if there is a connection between men and merman then also deep like the ocean - at least that's my idea and that's what I liked about the story but then there are so many loose endings like the question why is Dylan luring the men into the sea and setting them free afterwards, why are they suddenly only sleeping down there while Ci [...]

    7. A freebie short story, this was an absolutely charming take on the Mermaid (mermen) story. Not a 'Little Mermaid' take off, this one felt wholly apart and stands on its own as a fairy tale (tail?). The feeling of the merman, Dylan, being cold and distant felt very new as usually they are all shown to be longing for land. The young Cian who is left holding on for dear life was written with a clear sensitivity. Both characters were engaging and I was left feeling rather happily satisfied with the [...]

    8. Such beautiful, beautiful words. Cian is a young man, shipwrecked and the lone survivor, trying to hang on and resist the siren call of Dylan, a merman. He finally gives in, sinking into the ocean. It's then that Dylan is moved by what he sees in Cian, changing him in ways that are unbeknownst to him. This was a lovely story, with each word adding to the vivid picture in my mind. I thoroughly enjoyed it!

    9. LHNB Story released 17.7.13This is an interesting historical folklore tale of a young sailor being rescued by a merman and their brief and sudden on the beach encounter. Whilst I enjoyed the story of the wreck and rescue, the history and the merman's change of heart, the actual and very sudden relationship between the two of them just seemed a little too much too soon.

    10. It's officialI have a merman kink! I liked Dylan's dualityon the one hand, a cold, treacherous sea creature and on the other, a remembered spark of humanity. While not a traditional HEA, there is the chance - the hope - of such.

    12. I love, love, love merman stories, but most of what I have read is sorely lacking. This was just great, I really enjoyed this, and I'm so happy to read that you're planning a sequel! Can't wait! Thank you for a great story!

    19. A gwenhidwy which is kind - one should always be wary of what the sea sings to us, and this is a lesson Cian had taken to heart under his "proper" exterior. He's ship wrecked and a mer-person is singing, and he holds on until the singer sings of love and Cian lets go - but I'm glad this had a better ending than the siren songs in Greek mythology - because Dylan sings true - even if he didn't suspect he did.

    20. I was holding off on reading this as a reward to myself, and it was a good reward -- short, not that sweet, but with an ending that promised more. The story packs a lot of atmosphere in to a very little space, and I can tell I am going to be mulling over the possibilities of the world and settings for days.

    21. Well, I think this story reflected the mermaids emotional side (cold and cruel) pretty good. Just when there was a spark of a real emotional connection building between the to MCs, contrary to only sheer lust which leads to a sexual encounter, the story ends. Only the last few pages earned this story a second star for me.
