    1. 3.5 StarsDrawing the Line is the second book in The Line series and just as sweet and romantic as I was expecting. This is the first series I have read by this author but I am thoroughly enjoying these books. They're fast reads but packed full of love and mysteries. I liked the characters in this one, but wanted a little bit more of a connection between them. Jason was a great character and I loved his loyalty to his job and the little inner conflict he had about Serenity. Bottom line, I'm enjoy [...]

    2. Le sigh. Another winner from Kimberly Kincaid. As usual, I'm not bothering with a recap because everyone else is going to do it and the blurb does it best so I'll just jump in with what I liked:Let's start with Serenity. Love her. She feels so real and her job at Mac's doesn't read like something Kincaid just threw in, it's an integral part of who she is and how she operates. I loved how creating food for people was sometimes a way for her to comfort them, sometimes a way for her to get control, [...]

    3. 3-3.25 RATING- An okay read for a freebie. Damsel in distress being protected by sexy detective. I usually love these types of stories but nothing really stood out for me with this one. I may read more in this series if short on time and free but wouldn't purchase or put at top of my TBR list.

    4. I didn't feel the chemistry as much in this one. I know this is a short, but this needed more plot and character development. It was a safe read with no OP drama. There was also no mention of the H's history, which I don't mind that much. However, I need more than that to be engaged.

    6. What a great story. Loved this book. Great characters and story. Had me wondering what was going to happen. Definitely will be recommending and reading her books again. This is the story of Serenity, a local diner owner. The story begins when Serenity is going in to open her restaurant. She walks in on a robbery. One of her employees is knocked out on the floor. She goes to check on him, turns around to look and then is knocked out too. Jason, who is a local Detective on the police force, and als [...]

    7. Another hot book from Kimberly Kincaid involving food and hot cops! How can you go wrong. Best part is that these books are novella length. Usually not my cup of tea, but only because I don't feel the stories have ample time to develop. It's different if you are using them as an epilogue to a series or full length novel. However, Ms. Kincaid has a way of putting her characters together and even though the story is short, the timeline isn't rushed. I enjoyed the banter between not only the main c [...]

    8. One word: WOW. This budding young author has given us another mouth-watering, all-too-short read. This novella, like her first (Love On The Line), provides incredible character development, intense passion, believable motivations, and great heat in the kitchen (and elsewhere). This one is another page turner for me. I genuinely like Jason and Serenity, and would love to hang out in their kitchen watching their chemistry short-circuit the lights. I'm sure I would have to take the dessert to go ;) [...]

    10. Kimberly Kincaid's bio is absolutely true when it mentions that she splits the difference between sexy and sweet. She is an incredibly talented author with the ability to write real, three dimensional characters who make you fall for them as much as the story!

    14. This story starts on page one with a bloody body on the floor! Serenity Gallagher is coming to her diner to work the morning shift . She is the owner/chef of Mac's. Walking into the kitchen she finds her cook sprawled on the floor, unconscious and bleeding. She immediately dials 911, and the dispatcher sends police and EMT's strongly advising Serenity to leave the premises immediately till the scene is secure. Right away we learn that Serenity is not much of a believer in orders. Next thing she [...]

    15. I purchased this book today off for .99 cents. I read it in a few hours and couldn't put it down until I finished it. Jason and Serenity are definitely a wonderful couple. They are so right for one another! Jason is a cop who doesn't have anyone in his life. His job is his one priority other than his twin sister, Violet that is. He has loved the diner where he and Violet go every Wednesday and even might possibly like the owner?! lol Then something happens and he has to protect this owner of th [...]

    16. After reading Love on the Line I had high hopes for Drawing the Line and Kimberly Kincaid did not disapoint. After walking in and finding one of her employees stabbed and unconscious on the the floor of her diner Serinity is attacked. After identifying her attacker she is put in the protective custody of Jason. He is the detective that comes to her diner every Wednesday. Sparks fly but can Jason let something other than the job into his heart? This was a fun quick read. It was refreshing to read [...]

    17. I really wanted Jason's story as soon as I completed the first novella so, yay! This story did not disappoint. There was only one noticeable error in grammar so, who cares about that. The sparks were flying between Jason and Serenity was hot and sexy. My only question was that leaving Serenity unconscious at the scene of the crime was too sloppy for a criminal who was referenced as one who is notorious for his tracks being covered up. Beyond that, it was a joy to read and a smooth story full of [...]

    18. A short but good read. I recommend reading Love on the Line first since that introduces Jason, Noah, and Violet. The events of the first book are talked about but you can read this as a stand alone too. The book started out with a bang and ended with one. Serenity is an awesome character and not a victim at all. Jason is the cop who is put in charge of protecting her. Sparks fly all over that farmhouse between them which makes a great read!

    19. Another great story by Ms. Kincaid. I love the foodie romance genre and how she weaves the food into the storyline. The story grabs you on the first page with a body on the ground in the kitchen. It then keeps you wanting to read more with the great character development of Jason and Scarlett. The descriptions and romance were perfect. The action at the end kept me riveted. Very well done!

    20. For a shorter story I liked this. The detective and his witness. Teaching her self defense was very sweet. Her coping with cooking. I was enraptured with the story throughout. The characters were great as well as their chemistry. The way it wrapped up was great!! Nice job Kimberly Kincaid. I would have loved for the story to continue even longer.

    24. While this was well-written, the over-use of folksy figurative language bogged it down for me. The characters didn't have much depth and their relationship didn't touch me.

    27. Serenity owns and runs Mac's Diner, a staple in the small town of Brentsville and well-known to all of the locals for her comfort-food menu and outstanding baked goods. She interrupts what looks like a burglary one morning at the diner, and having seen the suspect before being knocked out, she ends up in protective custody with one Jason Morgan. Jason, having just had his partner wounded during a call, is all business when it is determined that Serenity's life may be in danger until the suspect [...]
