    1. As interesting and exciting as a tax form. With the added minus that the latter is better written and thought.

    2. **Warning: slightly spoilerish***I can't say this one impressed me. I really don't like having to be critical of anyone's work, but this one brought out all my snarky comments. Good thing I was reading alone, otherwise I would have sounded a little less than sane to the casual observer. I have three primary complaints: the writing was clunky, the dialogue was stiff and the story was full of holes—small holes that didn't undermine the actual plot, but were still irritants. Things like the time [...]

    3. When Cassidy goes for her annual walk on the glacier and decides to explore an ice cave, she hardly expects to find frozen men in it! Nor does she expect them to wake at her touch, or that one of them would pin her to the ground in a very arousing manner. Edensaw is a werewolf sentinel, designed to protect the world from a future evil. The prose needs tightening and trimming—I could tell from the first page. For instance, too many insignificant actions/movements are described. The book really s [...]

    4. "Awakened From Ice" ~ 3 StarsIt's a nice start to the series. The sentinel's have been sleeping for ten thousand years and are the first of their kind. I liked Edensaw and his wolf brothers as well as Cassidy.Edensaw knows from the start that Cassidy is his mate. I like that Edensaw does not try to force Cassidy to become his mate. He lets her decided when and if she will be his mate. I also like the Wolf Brothers reactions to there new world and how they want to learning and try new things. "He [...]

    5. I don't think I'll read the next books in this serie. Some details in this book don't suit me, I'm not in "immortal" things, or the way the heroin is turned. 3 stars because it's a basic werewolf story, not amazing but not so bad !

    10. Reviewed by: AprilBook provided by: publisherReview originally posted at Romancing the Book Awakened From Ice by Marisa Chenery is a rather unique story with a plot line that has not been visited overly much, as some paranormal plots have been. Within this story, we meet six chiseled and hot guys who have been asleep in an ice cave for thousands of years. This is no typical type of sleep, but one that allows each of the men to intuitively know what is going on around them and the changes that th [...]

    11. Interesting. On an annual hiking trip to the Alaskan Mantanuska glacier, Cassidy finds six ancient Tlingit warriors sleeping frozen in an ice cave. When they awaken, one of them claims to be her mate and that they are werewolves. She ends up taking them back with her to her home in Juneau where they learn to live in 21st century and find the modern pack wolves. It seems that this is sort of a pre-series to the ‘Wulf’s Den’ & ‘Roxie’s Protectors’ series, though I would read this a [...]

    12. A nice start to the series! Cassidy is hiking in Alaska when she finds six men ‘asleep’ in an ice cave. When she gets close to one he wakes up, claiming she’s his mate and that he and his wolf brothers have been sleeping for ten thousand years. Of course Cassidy doesn’t believe him but once they prove to her what they say is true she goes about helping them find the local werewolves and acclimating to the current century. I don’t always love ‘love at first sight’ romances because i [...]

    13. I found this story to have an interesting premise for a werewolf series. The author did a great job of showing the reader how uncomfortable ice age men would be in the twenty first century. It was refreshing to see our world through the eyes of someone seeing it for the first time. Marisa Chenery also used a clever explanation to bring the wolf brothers into our time with some current knowledge. The story had a great pace to it and the characters are interesting. This is the first story in a seri [...]

    14. Cassidy enjoys climbing around the glaciers, at Mantanuska Glacier in Alaska. This time around, she will discover something more than she bargained for–a Tingit Hunter and his brothers.Chosen to be the first werewolves, Edensaw and his brothers have been incased in ice for thousands of years, waiting for the evil to come. Before evil can awaken them, Edensaw smells his mate and cannot avoid awakening and claiming her for his own.Cassidy is shocked by the sexy man she finds incased in ice, but [...]

    15. This was a very well written story. Though this book was a little more than I would normally pay for a shorter story (just over 100 pages) the quality made up for the length. Chenery did a fabulous job of putting a lot of detail in a short book without it feeling like a history lesson or nothing but a foundation story with no body. After reading this book, I feel like I have a pretty good grasp on what this world is like and what to expect in future books. The only reason this was not 5 stars fo [...]

    16. Awakened from Ice is for people whon't mind a fast-paced story.enjoy Alpha-male shapeshifterske when main male characters have no issues with public nudity.enjoy naughty touching in semi-public placeske a little dire in their wolf.I got a kick out of this one. Considering Marisa Chenery's other books have been hit or miss with me, I'm counting that as a win.-Kelly @ Reading the ParanormalAwakened from Ice was a free Kindle book I downloaded on 11/11/13 for the Why Buy the Cow? reading challenge. 17. It started out exciting, sexy and full of promise. I like a lot of sexual tension, but I didn't find it here. The female protagonist resisted complete intercourse but still indulged in oral sex with her intended mate - I just didn't feel the heat. Other than being possessive the Pack's Alpha was not an Alpha male at all. The real plot didn't develop until the end of the novel and then it was rushed. I will read the next book in the series if it goes down in price! The story just wasn't worth wha [...]

    18. I really enjoyed this quick read! I'm not usually paranormal kind of girl, but this was a unique story. It was fast paced, interesting, and just enough sexy ;)I do have to say that I think it's rather odd, the ONLY status update I submitted questioned when the "bad guys"would show up and voila-75% is when the action starts. (and now I'm off to read the 2nd installment)

    19. I liked this book. I love paranormal erotic romance. this book was pretty fast paced. I would have liked to know more about the men and where they came from, but over all this was a very well written book and I read it pretty fast. I will have to look for the 2nd book and get it and read it too. it had just enough erotica and information about each character to want more.

    20. this was a good read.Although a bit boring in the beginning.once therewas some action and suspence thrown into the mix it got much better . Then it ended abruptly. This is book 1 in a series , so if you are interested buy a book ahead , because you'll want to see what happens next.

    21. I really enjoyed this different take on werewolves. I liked the hero being patient and I enjoyed how the heroine taught her mate and his brothers how to adjust to living life now. These stone aged wolves were pretty cool.

    23. 1.5-2.5 Stars. Free book. I skimmed to the end but it's about what you'd expect from a free adult book. Lots of foreplay and eventually sex with a dash of story to tie everything together. Truth be told I really didn't read it enough to rate it.

    24. Okay, so this book was a little bit out there but it had a storyline that really couldn't be beat. Plus it's a werewolf series, so that makes it even better. I really thought this novel was great, I'm excited to see what happens with the next installment to this series.

    25. This retelling of the werewolf legend was good. I loved the hot native American alpha male. Also the white American woman was a different kind of interracial romance that I normally read. It was a great story though.
