    About Pamela Britton

    1. With over a million books in print, Pamela Britton likes to call herself the best known author nobody s ever heard of Of course, that s begun to change thanks to a certain licensing agreement with that little racing organization known as NASCAR.Nowadays it s not unusual to hear her books being discussed by the likes of Jay Leno, Keith Olbermann, or Stephen Colbert Flip open a magazine and you might read about her, too, in Sports Illustrated, Entertainment Weekly, or Southwest Airlines Spirit Magazine Channel surf and you might see her on CNN, ESPN, ABC or NBC But before the glitz and glamour of NASCAR, Pamela wrote books that were frequently voted the best of the best by The Detroit Free Press, Barnes Noble two years in a row and RT BOOKclub Magazine She s won numerous writing awards, including the National Reader s Choice Award, and a nomination for Romance Writers of America s Golden Heart and the Holt Medallion. When not following the race circuit, Pamela writes full time from her ranch in Northern California where she lives with her husband, daughter and, at last count, twenty one four legged friends. If you d like to chat with Pamela you can find her on her myspace where she loves to hangout with her readers.

    3. I finished “On The Edge” by Pamela Britton last night at work. I have to say, this installment in her NASCAR series of books was, as always, a great read. Now I have to admit, I never realized it was a series until I realized that I kept seeing the same characters. Duh. LOL I have all but one of the books and I ordered the one I’m missing from PaperBackSwap last night, so I’ll have it in a couple of weeks. :)“On The Edge” is the story of Becca Newman and Adam Drake. It’s the third [...]

    4. It could be a good book, because it started cool, the little girl is amazing, but the couple almost didn't spent time together.

    5. On The Edge by Pamela BrittonNASCAR #3Rebecca Newman’s past four years haven’t been her best. Her husband Randy had died and now her racing business is in dire straights. What she needs is to find the best driver around and start winning. She didn’t expect the answer to her problems to come knocking on her door in the form of a ten year old girl.Adam Drake had one priority, his daughter Lindsey. His daughter had one priority as well, getting her dad back into racing. Adam raced the local d [...]

    6. Another awesome book in the series! I'm more of a drag racing fan (1/4 mile straight track), but I watch NASCAR every now and then. Britton knows how to connect her characters, and make the reader feel that connection. Even though Britton's books are more romance than anything (HQ), there is still suspense attached to it, like the racing, the maneuvers, etc She's got an eye for detail, and her descriptions make you feel like you're actually there, at the track, feeling the truck/car engines rumb [...]

    7. I think this is her best book about Nascar. It's more tightly woven with the characters. I enjoyed the interaction of the characters. I loved the little girl and how she kept getting involved in everything especially getting her dad a job. You see the two previous couples in the story and find out what they have been doing. I'm really enjoying this series when I didn't think I would. I thought it would be sappy and not have enough about Nascar in it. Instead I've found that the books even have s [...]

    8. Ten-year-old Lindsey Drake secretly travels to North Carolina to persuade NASCAR team owner Becca Newman to hire her dad as a race driver. After they meet, Lindsey determines Becca is an idealized version of everything her lonely dad needs in his life and does her best to get them romantically involved. A cute, lighthearted romance with a feel good ending. You don't have to like racing to get involved in the story. Highly recommend.

    9. An all around okay book. I really liked Adam and his crafty daugther Lindsey. I think i would have given i 4 stars if it wasn't for Rebecca. I liked her okay in the beginning, but the more i got into the story and got to know her, the more she began to annoy me. She keeps finding excuses and ruining herself by making dumb choices that only makes her own situation worse.

    10. Great read. Lots of plot, not a lot of development between the characters - they kind of saw each other and fell in love? Seems a bit unlikely, but it was still a really fun read and I liked the characters.

    11. I liked this book. I liked Adam's rise. I liked his daughter. I liked the romance between Adam and Rebecca. But, I really wanted Rebecca to buck up and grow a pair. Who cares what anyone thinks! You are the boss. She folded too easily.

    18. Rebecca pissed me off a lot because of her running away a lot. But in the end it was alright. 2.5/5 stars.
