    1. Well known author Sir Michael Phillip Jagger delivers another well paced, layered novel full of intrigue and depth, about a drifter who travels from town to town, literally singing for his supper. Nah, just kidding, this is a visual history of The Rolling Stones, from their early club days to their fiftieth year of existence. Many gorgeous photos from all stages of their career, with commentary from Mick Jagger, who is not a well known author, but is the lead singer of The Stones. But you knew t [...]

    2. Nearly all of the photos have been taken from live shows and tours, on state, back stage and on the road, in chronological order. There are some passing nods to the famous scandals, such as the 60s drug trials, but only a handful of pages are dedicated to them. The Stones reminisce about the photos and what they represent, at time both nostalgic and funny. This not a "must read" for Stones fans, or a key entry in the large Stones library. There are some rare and unseen photos, but none really re [...]

    3. Fabulous collection of photographs from all of their tours. Lots of posters and memorabilia. Too many tiny photos that I needed a magnifying glass to see. Very short quotes about tour dates from the Stones. I guess too much has happened in 50 years to include more details. I would like to have seen a bit more about Brian Jones, his leaving the Stones and his death. I still haven't read Mick's new memoir - perhaps that will fill in a bit more. Keith's memoir was great, but concentrated on his lif [...]

    4. Every kind of photo imaginable is present with this work's over 350 pages. Contact prints, posters, puzzles, center folds and Polaroids comprise the one thousand images. With introductions by the band members, Mick, Keith, Charlie and Ronnie, the pictures are presented chronologically and by the venue in which the band was playing. Every section is accompanied by brief descriptions, many are band member's personal recollections. Backstage, pre and post concert images make up a good deal of the c [...]

    5. Rolling Stones 50 is the official book to accompany the band’s fiftieth anniversary and, so, has little to say about the band’s history. But as a scrapbook, it’s a delight, and I drew particular joy from the portraits of the band and the portraits of the fans. Worth a look if you like the Stones.

    7. A gorgeous collection of photographs spanning the band's entire history. I would have preferred a few more words from the boys, but, as they say, "You can't always get what you want."
