    2. A good mystery can have many elements within it including lessons learned and the growth of characters. I found a book that did that for children around the age of 10 called The Delaware Detectives by Dana Rongione. This is the story of a brother and sister who live in the South but go to spend the summer with their grandfather in Delaware. While they are there fighting like cats and dogs with each other, they accidentally stumble upon a mystery. Before long, they are searching for clues, meeting [...]

    3. This is an adorable book. I loved Nancy Drew and The Bobbsey Twins Mysteries when I was a child and these books are very similar in concept. The story follows siblings sent to visit with their grandfather over the summer. They live in a different state and rarely get to visit their relatives so their get to spend their summer visiting “Pop-pop” and getting to know their relatives.I enjoyed reading about these kids and the situations they get into. The wholesome values of the book add an addi [...]

    4. I recently won this book from . My 11 year old grandson quickly nabbed it and finished it a weekend! The fun part was that he then handed it off to his sister ( they never share anything) and told her she HAD to read it! Hopefully they both learn a lesson from this excellent story! Thanks

    5. Lively faith based adventureWhen two siblings go to spend the summer with their grandfather in Delaware, the last thing they expect is a treasure hunt. But when they discover what appears to be a clue, they are on a mission. Enlisting the help of their neighbors, the kids find it too easy to bury themselves in their own interests, and on a moral cliff. Skillfully wrapping a fun amateur detective story around a Christian family allows the author to gently steer the children at each crossroad they [...]

    6. I really loved this mystery book, we read Delaware Detectives as a family I read the book at bedtime over the passed week to my 10, 9 and 7 year old. Who ate the book up never wanting me to end with the chapter. You know the famous, "just one more chapter mom." This time it was because the story was GREAT not because they didn't want lights out. LOL On Tuesday in author Dana's guest post she talks about the characters being real. That's something I loved in the book my daughter can relate to Abb [...]

    7. This was a quick YA book on my Kindle. The main reason I read it was because I needed a book set in the state of Delaware for a state challenge I am doing. Jamie and Abby are spending the summer at their grandfather's house. While playing in the attic they discover the first clue leading to a treasure hunt. They and some friends discover more clues, which leads to them finding and getting to keep $200,000 in cash and $100,000 in bonds. A 10 year old would probably enjoy it.
